Rayna is a wonderful ceramic artist and instructor that specializes in handbuilding. Her beautiful spirit and enthusiasm for teaching ceramics can be felt in all the classes. She has taught at Hawaii Potters’ Guild and is the head of the outreach program for many schools as well as Palama Settlement. She believes in lifelong learning and annually attends ceramic workshops throughout the country to bring new ideas back for her students.

She particularly enjoys creating pieces with beautiful surface treatments such as underglaze transfers, silkscreening, stencils, botanical imprinting and nerikomi. Her pieces are both decorative as well as functional.
